YouTube has launched a new AI-focused experiment. As part of the company’s YouTube Labs program, virtual presenters are being added to radio and mixes in the YouTube Music app.
According to YouTube’s blog post, these AI presenters are designed to enrich users’ listening experiences. Presenters interact with listeners by sharing relevant stories, fan information, and entertaining commentary between songs.

However, this feature is currently available to a limited group of users. According to the blog post, only a select number of YouTube Labs participants living in the US can test these early prototypes and experimental features in the YouTube Music app.
Google is expanding its AI-powered experiences to its other products. For example, with NotebookLM, the company is developing AI presenters to explore different topics. This experiment in the YouTube Music app is reportedly part of the same vision.
In addition, YouTube is expanding some features for its Premium members. The “fast-forward” feature, previously only available on select devices, is now fully accessible on YouTube TV and game consoles. This feature allows you to automatically skip to the most interesting parts of the videos.
